Where do you find inspiration????  I've been thinking about boats and nautica, water, dancing, vintage tweed, children's art and illustration.  Find it everywhere and make something!

We hosted Gabby's birthday party last Sunday and had a blast.  The girls learned how to sew by hand and machine and came out with a small tote bag adorned with a felt flower and felt bird.  We had a great start in our new studio.  More pictures here.

Speaking of birthdays... home ec. studio is now offering birthday party packages!  For $36/person we will host your party up to 10 people for 2.5 hours in the studio where your party will learn how to sew, knit or crochet (anything to your liking).    Email us if you are interested in having a craft party in the studio!  We are also working on a collaboration with our neighbors, Cristina and Jerome from Café Madeleine and Vagabond for catering options!

We got the keys to our new space this week so we are busily trying to get our studio cleaned up and decorated in time for Gaby's birthday party and our summer camp next Monday, August 9.  We are getting there slowly but surely!  I really love the colors in our new space.  Apple green, hummingbird blue and orange as the accent color.  We have to give special thanks for Yvonne's beau, Daryl for putting up with our demands and getting our wallpaper hung and floors sealed.  You are awesome Daryl!

We're getting ready to move into our new studio this week.  First on the agenda, a private party for  Gaby's 6th Birthday party!  So we will be closed on August 8.
