It has been a whirlwind the last month or so.  It started as a idea, a possibility, an obsession.  Now it has become a partnership and a real business venture.  There are still a few glitches in our model (i.e. rent) but hopefully after things get started we can find that dream space.

Our mission is to bring sewing and all needlecraft to the young people and make a community out of it.  We now live in a world that has fallen off the Hummer-wagon and we need to get back to basics.  This new generation is all about achieving quality and frugality through the humble art of handmade.  Forget the bling, the lead based paint, the mass produced.  We want to bring back the individual, the organic, the natural.  It all starts in the community.

You guys are fabulous. I have wanted my kids (and myself) to learn to sew and knit for some time. I am so thrilled to now have a place to take her.

Thank you and good luck!

How wonderful seeing your concept take shape and become a reality! Takes my memory back to my introduction to the art of sewing in a neighborhood lady's class at her home in the 50s. Aside from the obvious economic advantages, the satisfaction of making your very own creations is priceless. Love and Luck, Mom

OOo yay! I'm so excited Tita! I've been itching to get back into knitting, but I've forgotten all the skills! I can't wait!
