July was our first month in business and it was a great experience. Teaching is a pretty rewarding experience whether you are teaching math, reading, science, etc. The feeling you get when your students are happy and comfortable with what they have learned and feel confident about doing it on their own is pretty exhiliarating. Along with our summer camp, we also hosted beginning knitting and sewing classes for adults and although different from teaching kids, was also very rewarding. Everyone loved the projects, which we felt were wearable and hip - (a summer scarf and a summer dress). We hope next months classes are as successful.
The ladies loved sewing the basic summer dress. It is suitable for any body type and light enough to wear during these hot summer months.
Believe it or not, these fashionable divas did not know how to sew on the machine when they arrived!
They also learned a little about pattern making and sizing while they were here.
