Yvonne and I have been waiting for this week to come for quite some time.  All the anxiety, fear and excitement for the past few weeks has paid off.  The first week of summer camp has come to a close and what a learning experience it was!  It was a lot of revising here and there but in the end, we feel the kids were excited to learn what we were teaching them (with a little frustration) and they came out with a skill.  They might not have come out knitting a scarf, but gears are in place and with practice, they will get there.  We had a terrific bunch of students and on day 5 they came home with A LOT of goodies... needlecases, brag books, plush brooches, crocheted bracelets, a knapack they sewed on the machine, knitting needles, yarn and pom poms.  What more can you ask for?   See here for pictures.

The second week of summer camp has been cancelled due to the lack of sign ups but there are two more camps in August.  See our Summer '09 schedule on the website.

We also have our Fall schedule lined up for after school classes and Sunday classes.  See our calendar for September if you are interested.  After school classes will be held on Wednesdays from 1 pm - 3:30 pm and Fridays from 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm.   Fees are $155/month/student and 5% of your child's fee will be donated to your child's school.  Each month, we will introduce hand and machine sewing to your child by working on various projects.  Each month consists of four (2.5 hour) classes.  Our first monthly project is "Design and Make your own Plush Monster".
