We are doing shadow puppets this month!
We are halfway done with Winter Camp! Here are some samples of the goodness!          Two looks in one piece! That's how we roll... Winter Camp 2011! We are changing our Sunday schedule next year to only have classes every second and every fourth Sunday per month. I (Roselle) will be teaching the second Sundays and Yvonne will be teaching the fourth Sundays. If there are many students then we may show up together. After teaching almost EVERY Sunday for the past year and a half, we feel like we need to give ourselves back to our family and friends since the weekends are the days for that. No changes to the after school class schedule except that we are offering Monday classes again at the San Diego French American School in La Jolla. Valerie has indicated that these classes are open to the public so if you are in that area and would like your child to attend on Mondays from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm, please contact Valerie (vasensio@sdfrenchschool.org) for info and pricing. We have a Winter Camp scheduled for Tuesday, January 4 to Friday, January 7 from 9 am - 1 pm at $175. Registration is now available online. We will be doing an assortment of fun projects like clothing, dolls, stuffed animals, maybe some t-shirt printing. We have some new projects planned for the new year.              'm inspired by vintage kitchen linens this month since we are sewing up aprons, oven mitts and tea towels. I finally did some spring cleaning (two seasons later) and found some of my treasures around the house. I'm inspired to crochet some vintage style potholders. Who knew I had such a collection???? And for our tea towel class on Sept. 26, I found some of my favorite vintage tea towels. We'll be embroidering the ones in class but I just LOVE linen tea towels! Do you remember???? Fall has begun and we're all back to school. We started our first after school class yesterday. And these girls picked up their sewing skills pretty quickly after a 3 month break. They all finished their café apron in one class! See pictures here. We are starting our Fashion Fridays class next Friday, Sept. 10 from 3:00 - 4:30. We'll be teaching the two layered skirt first. This should be a fun class because we're only doing apparel. Sign up here. We're also doing a collaboration with Cristina from Café Madeleine on Sunday, September 26. We'll be sewing tea coasters and tea towels and then we'll be heading over to the café for some tea. This class is open to kids and adults. Sign up here. Where do you find inspiration????
