Classes (all materials included in fee)
Classes will be held for a minimum of 2 people and up to 6 people. After school program can hold up to 9 students per class. Sign ups will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Fee shall be payable up front and is non-refundable. Missed classes can be transferred to another date. Credit Card (online), cash or checks welcome!
After School Classes (Wednesdays OR Mondays, ages 7 and up)
After school program every Wednesday OR every Monday. These 2.5 hour classes will teach basic skills in all disciplines (sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery) and will be project based. 10% of your child's monthly fee will be donated to your child's school - fees range from $140 - $155/month/person. Classes
Basic Machine Sewing -Students will learn safety and basic techniques using the sewing machine. This includes exercises with and without the needle to demonstrate speed control, needle control and tension. They will also learn machine anatomy, needle threading and bobbin threading. They will make a simple project with the machine using the techniques learned in class. Three hour class - $45/person. Check our calendar for the schedule of classes and register on-line here!
Knitting - Students will learn basic techniques such as casting on, casting off, knit and purl, increase and decrease. They will make a simple project using the techniques learned in class. Three hour class - $30/person. Check our calendar and register on-line here!
Crochet - Students will learn basic techniques such as the chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. They will make a simple project using the techniques learned in class. Three hour class - $30/person. Check our calendar for the schedule of classes and register on-line here!
Getting to know your machine - refresher course for those who own a machine and need to be re-acquainted. This includes machine anatomy, needle threading and bobbin threading, using the stitch selector, changing the presser foot and changing the needle. Two hour class - $35/person. Email us if you would like to schedule an appointment (sergers included).
Private Lessons - $30/hour. Come to the studio or we will come to you. If you don't have a machine to learn on, we can provide one. Email us if you would like to schedule an appointment (sergers included).
Open Studio - $15/hour walk-ins, $10/hour students of home ec. studio. Go here for online payment.
